~Shipwrecked~

So my sociology teacher gave us this scenario which is based of the 1950's movie "Abandon Ship". A ship sunk and some people survived. The only problem is that I can't save them all. I can only hold 9 people on my boat.

These are the people I saved and the reason why I saved them.

Nate Yardbarker- He is  the captain and has a revolver plus he is a good age and in good shape.

Brian Andersong- He is the co-captain and he gives good orders and takes control.

Donte "Cookie" Blanchardo- He knows a lot about ships and how they work and he is very brave.

Chase "Brutus" Clarson- He is as strong as an ox and he is the muscle of our ship.

Major General Drew- He has a title like that? How could you get rid of him?

Dylan Longsing- His knowledge of ships is out of this world and he can row amazingly.

Mikayla Scopes- She was a former doctor and is the brains of the ship.

Sydney Bieber- That's me! I can't just kill myself. That would be social suicide.

Justin Bieber- He is my husband and it wouldn't be right for me to get rid of my husband. We need him and his money.

The people I saved either have strong physical characteristics, good morals, disciplined, take charge, leaders, or very smart people who will keep us alive for as long as possible

Cursive

I remember thinking cursive was the dumbest thing in elementary school! I thought it was to hard and it took to much time. I would always call it my presidents writing because it looked like the writing of the Constitution. I think cursive now is simple and its faster. Sure we barely ever have to write out assignments anymore but if I am in a rush; I like to use cursive. I think in this day and age we are forgetting all about old customs and focusing all on technology. It is sad to say but if it doesn't run on any source of battery; I am 100% sure kids will do anything they can to stay away from it.

Individualistic or Dependent

We Americans take so much for granted. In time of crisis it is my opinion that we expect people to take control. We expect people to go out of their ways to try to help us. It takes a very strong and faithful person to think outside the lines and not of themselves to help out another fellow American

Freaks and Geeks

In every high school there is definitely different kinds of stereotypes. Whether it's boys and girls or jocks, cheerleaders, nerds and freaks. A perfect example of a setting that contains stereotypes is the TV show "Freaks and Geeks". The episode we watched was about this "freak" Lindsay who wants to not be portrayed as a freak anymore. She starts to hang out with the "cool" kids. Cool meaning slackers. While she doesn't want to be portrayed as a freak her brother is getting bullied. The bad part about it is that she tries to stick up for him but he ends up getting teased more. The brother ends up fighting for him and his friends. Another girl whose name is Kim doesn't accept Lindsey into the "cool" group so she makes both Lindsay and her brother school day hard. Our school isn't very cliquey and the only groups we have are really boys and girls. Girls normally hang with girls and boys are always with the boys. Sure there are people here that stick out more than others but we all are unique and stick out in some ways in other people's eyes. I like to follow peoples trends but I would never want to the be the person who makes the trends and takes control. That isn't my personality. I can't relate to Kim at all but in contrary I can relate to Lindsey.

Who Am I?

I always am the girl in my class that is smiling and laughing! I barely ever have a frown on my face. I have never thought about why I am they way I am. Doing this blog made me realize that the things I love and do is what makes me who I am. My friends or other people in my life influence me everyday. I guarantee that if you ask random kids in my school about how I act. They would either say happy or bubbly. Which is so true. I really am like that. I think I am that way because I have a high level of openness and I also am very social and when people are happy that makes me happy. My mother is a very wonderful woman and she is always helping people. She gets her happiness by making other people happy. She definitely influences me to always stay positive and look at life as a gift and make everyday memorable. That's why I am spontaneous because I try to make every living moment a moment to remember. My purpose in life is to make other people happy and do great things for others. I would love to work with Human Services so I can always help a person in need.
